COZY WOODED CABIN

tiny timber

There's a difference between a place that looks rustic and a place that is rustic — and you feel it immediately here. The exposed timber frame, the natural wood, the weight and warmth of the construction — this cabin was built by hand, and it shows in the best possible way. Add a crackling wood stove, a property wrapped in trees, and a projector for late nights in, and you've got everything you actually need for a proper escape.

This isn't a cabin that was designed. It was crafted.

Built by Hand, Felt the Moment You Walk In

[ STAY WITH US ]

The king bed sits up in the timber loft above the main living space — ladder access, railings, and those beautiful beams right above your head. Downstairs, the living room has a futon and a cot is available if you're bringing more people, sleeping comfortably up to four guests total. It's an intimate space. WiFi is included, though the forest has a way of making you forget about it.

Everything inside is small in the best sense — cozy, considered, and yours for Your Stay.

A Loft, a Fire, and Nowhere to Be

- Jacob

We explored all the local trails and ended each day watching a movie by the fire. It was nice to get away just the two of us and reconnect. We will definitely be back!"

"Jon & Janese thought of everything in this space.

The property has its own walking trails, but venture a little further and you're into genuinely beautiful countryside. Mansfield Hollow is the standout — you can hike it, fish it, or spend an afternoon kayaking on the water. The Fenton River Trail, Nipmuck Trail, and Coney Rock Preserve are all within easy reach, ranging from peaceful riverside walks to proper backcountry terrain.

Some of Connecticut's best trails and outdoor escapes are right on your doorstep.

Step Off the Porch and Into the Wild

You won't have to go far for a great meal. The Wooden Spoon in Ashford is about 10 minutes away and worth every mile. Toast Four Corners is 12 minutes up the road — a laid-back breakfast spot perfect for a slow morning before a hike. Bagel Zone is just under 4 miles away and exactly what you need before a big day outside. If you want more options, downtown Storrs and UConn are only 8 minutes away, with plenty of coffee, food, and local life to explore.

A few local spots we'd point any friend toward.

Eat Well. You're on Vacation.

Bring whoever you love, whatever you're reading, and nothing you don't need. The cabin will take care of the rest — warm, quiet, and ready for you whenever you are. We hope to see you soon.

No agenda required.
