A herdshare allows families to receive fresh milk from cows they co-own, while directly supporting the daily care, health, and wellbeing of our herd.

We believe food should come with trust and transparency — and that’s what we hope you feel when you join our herdshare.

herdshare program

When you join our herdshare, you are becoming a part owner of our dairy herd. Rather than purchasing milk, you are sharing in the responsibility and the rewards of caring for cows.

A whole share represents 1/25 of the value of one organic milking cow

A half share represents 1/50 of the value of one organic milking cow

Shares are held in the herd as a whole — no one is assigned to a specific cow

This shared ownership allows members to receive a portion of fresh milk.

No. Herdshare members are not assigned to a particular cow. Shares are held in the herd as a whole, and members receive a portion of what the herd produces.

Do I get a specific cow?

02 / 07

If you’re unable to pick up on your scheduled day, please contact us as soon as possible. We will try our best to accommodate you, but there are no guarantees.

What happens if I miss a pickup?

03 / 07

Yes. A one-time fee included with your initial share purchase covers the glass jar(s) you’ll use for pickup. Members wash and bring their jar(s) each week. Replacement jars are available for purchase if needed.

Do you provide milk jars?

04 / 07

Raw milk is unprocessed and can carry risks. Many families choose it intentionally, but it’s important to educate yourself and make an informed decision for your household. We follow careful cleanliness and handling practices on the farm.

Is raw milk safe?

05 / 07

No. Due to state laws, milk from the herdshare is for personal and family use only and may not be sold or redistributed.

Can I share or sell the milk I receive?

06 / 07

We understand that circumstances change. Members may sell their share with 30 days’ written notice. You’re welcome to find a buyer, or you may sell your share back to us for half of the original purchase amount.

What if I need to leave the herdshare?

07 / 07

Members may enter the farm on their assigned pickup day during reasonable hours to collect their milk. For other visits or a tour of the property, please contact us to schedule your visit.
